Opening Doors to Hope and Opportunity
Mercy Haven provides temporary and permanent housing and vital support services to those in need across Long Island. Since 1985, we have been a non-sectarian, not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering stability, dignity, and independence for individuals facing homelessness, mental illness, and other challenges.
We strive to build a community where diversity and inclusion are valued, and every person has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Through experience, innovation, and compassionate care, we open pathways to housing, employment, and a brighter future.
We invite you to learn more about our mission, explore volunteer and partnership opportunities, and join us in making a lasting impact. Thank you for your support!

Our Mission: Restoring Dignity, Rebuilding Lives
At Mercy Haven, we believe every individual deserves dignity, stability, and the opportunity to thrive. Our mission is to support those who are homeless, living with mental illness, or struggling with poverty by providing safe housing, advocacy, education, and life skills development.
We envision communities where diversity and inclusion are embraced and every person has the chance to reach their full potential. Through experience, innovation, and compassionate support, we open doors to new possibilities for those who need it most.

Every morning when I get up, I look around the apartment. It still seems surreal. Sobriety. A roof over my head. A good community. I want to thank you, Sister Pat — for being here, for what you do.
